Frequently Asked Questions
The pitch is the slope measurement of the rise of your roof. This is the number of inches the roof rises vertically for every 12 inches it extends horizontally. (also referred to as roof slope or roof slant)
IE: 7/12 pitch means that for every 12" the roof rises 7"
This means the truss can span the full measurement without having to bear on a wall some where in the middle.
OC stands for "on centre" and the trusses are spaced by the specific measurement either 16" or 2' (24").
